Brass fixtures get us every time.
On a kitchen faucet, mirror frame, light fixture, switchplate, or doorknob, the patina projects old-fashioned and easy glamour, but it’s not fussy like gold or stale like silver.
Says interior decorator Estee Stanley, ” will see more brass being incorporated into the home. I think antique brass is making a comeback in structural elements, hardware, and other embellishments.”
And against of-the-moment paint colors like mint and retro aqua and pinky coral, it’s especially exquisite. But, also, there is and always will be the classic combination of brass and creamy white. You can never go wrong with that.
